Six Interview Tips
1. Know your Audience: Call the person who scheduled your interview and ask,
- Who will be interviewing you? (Know them by their names and position)
- How many rounds of interviews?
- What are the expectations of the organization to fill the role interviewing for?
- Ask for the dress code (if you are not sure)
- If you don’t have a detailed job description, ask for one
- Ask for the route directions and understand better
- Keep a phone number to call if you get stuck in traffic
2. Do your homework!
- Research about the company and position
- Understand the future goals and plans of the company
- Be ready to talk positive in depth about the industry, the organization, and the position you are applying for
- Connect with the current employees to know more about the company culture and expectations
3. Have excellent answers for common and behavioral questions!
- “What is your biggest weakness?”
- “Why do you want this job?”
- “Where do you see yourself in five years?”
- “Why did you leave your last job?”
- “Tell me about achievements and how did you achieve it.”
- “Give an example of how you worked in a team.”
- “How do you handle a challenge? Tell me one of your pervious challenge.”
- “How do you set a goal and achieve them?”
- “What would you do to keep employees and co-workers motivated always?”
4. Be prepared with the questions to ask for the interviewer.
- Ask the questions that reflect your interest in company future prospects and on the role you are being interviewing for
- Ask questions to bond with the interviewer, show enthusiasm and let them know your research on the company profile and that you have high regards for the company
5. Pack Your Outfit, and Go To Bed Early
6. Leave early, if you arrive late and get stressed, your interview may not go well
